Jean Roberts is a Chartered Psychologist and Career Coach with a thriving private practice spanning the UK, Asia and Australia.

She has held senior roles in a number of sectors including:

  • Marketing (A.C. Nielsen).
  • Banking (Head of Training for Morgan Guaranty Trust Co of New York, Training Advisor to Wardley, the merchant banking arm of HSBC).
  • Media (Production Manager for Hawke Films Hong Kong, Regional Manager, Far East for Media Projects International).

As a consultant she has worked on projects ranging from culture surveys and employee engagement to recruitment, assessment centre design, team building, brand awareness, and leadership. Consultancy clients include American Shipping Lines, Hong Kong Telephone Co, Young Presidents Association, Sun Life Assurance, The Office for National Statistics, Guinness Africa, The Medicine Group, The View at the Shard.

Her work in career coaching also takes her into schools and universities where she is regularly invited to deliver programmes designed to help students to enhance their learning and navigate the transition from full time education to work. She was awarded an Honorary Fellowship by Oxford Brookes University in 2007.

Jean is a long-term fellow of the CIPD by whom she was awarded the distinguished badge of merit in April 2005.

In her coaching consultancy she has brought together her two professional interests of photography and psychology. A skilled facilitator, she has pioneered the use of photography  as a tool to share experiences and stimulate creativity in diverse cross cultural communities,  enhancing intellectual and emotional discovery.

Trained by Sotheby’s Institute of Art in historic and contemporary photography, she is also an accomplished portrait photographer specialising in a collaborative style of portraiture that helps her subjects to feel good about who they are. She buys and sells photographic work and  promotes, in particular, photography that motivates and inspires.
